Kaname has always been like that though, when he was with Summer B he would get them working, using the ship properly, cleaning it and looking after it etc. I don't think he was as bad as Ango and Ryo though, after Haru's speech, he sort of backed off and gave in without further arguments (something Ango and Ryo never did with Spring/Autumn/Winter). I think he's just disappointed in general over Summer A, since they're really not living up to his expectations of them. Obviously in part due to his fault, but any person would naturally go for the defence mechanism and lash out rather than admit that they were wrong (even if deep down they know they're wrong - Ango is another prime example of this Freudian concept). Also, the things he mentioned were fair enough (apart from his insistence that Koruri should fly ahead and scout the area), like with Gengoro almost putting his foot into a poisonous anthill and Ban having a breakdown in front of an almost pregnant Kurumi. Though I loved his interaction with Nijiko! XD I think she's always baffled him, and he probably finds her indifference unsettling, despite himself.

Anyway, I think Kaname must've been quite worried about them for him to actually appear like that! All this time he's just been following people and observing them but never actively getting involved (except with his own team). For him to appear before Summer A, must've been because the situation was getting quite dire. :3 I just think Kaname doesn't know how to express his love very well, he's a complicated guy, it's hard being a genius. xD
