That's right! Time to announce the Fanwork Competition finalists! These finalists were decided by our panel of vetoers: dragonator, acide, kthescannerr, naked_kids and pandaranda.

Out of the submissions we received, only five participants were given the chance to be voted on by the entire team (wherein the placings were decided). The level of quality in this competition was very high, so if you didn't quite make the shortlist, don't be alarmed! Everyone did very well and it was a tough decision to make. ^^;;

So without further ado, I present to you our five amazing finalists!

EPIC NEWS GUYS! Haha, okay you've probably already guessed by the hints around the comm, but tsukihana_scans has picked up a new series: Suki Desu Suzuki-kun!! It has always been a little pet favourite of mine, and you may recognise me as one of the summarisers for this series. :) The main reason why I decided to pick this series up is because of hiddendetective 's plea for help. He's someone who has been translating SDSK since forever, but every group he joined went defunct before long, leading to SDSK getting a considerable lack of love and sporadic, infrequent releases. Hopefully Tsukihana Scans can help SDSK releases become a more regular thing!

On that note, right now I'm doing all the editing, but the second semester of uni is going to start again soon and my focus is mainly on 7 Seeds so I will choose it over this series! If you want to have more regular releases, please consider helping us out as a cleaner! Although experience is preferred, you don't have to be experienced so long as you enjoy manipulating images and you'e eager to learn how to use Photoshop and Topaz Denoise/Clean. For those of you who usually read 7 Seeds, this is a total 180 from all that, being that SDSK is a flowery, romantic comedy shojo series. What it lacks in substance, it makes up for with hilarity and gooey romantic fluff; the kind that awakens the inner fangirl in me! XD Basically the story follows a group of four individuals from their middle school years right on into adulthood. The focus is predominately on Suzuki Hikaru (an energetic basketball-loving boy) and Hoshino Sayaka (a shy girl who's amazing at acting), their relationship and her acting career. The secondary main characters are Suzuki Shinobu (shares same last name but unrelated to Hikaru - a super arrogant richboy tsundere) and Ito Chihiro (Hikaru's childhood friend and an extremely kind person). I hope you enjoy our releases!

Before we get started on the release, let me draw your attention to three things!


Anyway, that's all the news I have for now. So you probably all know already, but the release was delayed! I'm so sorry about that, but if we're fishing for excuses, I DID just finish my exams, and everyone was so drained and adverse to this chapter that we couldn't bring ourselves to complete it in time (the only ones who are exempt from being lumped together with us slackers are acide and sarasa because they're amazing and were finished weeks in advance! <3) XD I mean seriously, when you read this chapter you WILL understand our pain. Four double spreads (URGH BANE OF EVERY EDITOR'S EXISTENCE!!!), SFX littered on almost every page, not to mention all the extra stuff you have to put in given this is the start of a new volume! XD

Okay, I'll stop whining now. It's time for volume 21 to shine with chapter 107 (named after Kassai by Chiami Naoki)! And yes, we are nearing the close of the Minor Heat arc, one more chapter after this and you'll have to say farewell to the Summer B gang! :O
