Happy New Year, my fellow 7 Seeds loving friends! <3 I hope 2012 treated you well, and (if not then I hope) that 2013 will be several times better! Haha, were you expecting treats today?? Well you got 'em thanks to your wonderful editors, azou8506 and dragonator , for being awesomely cool and stuff (and you know, me for being the best(?) slavedriver ever). xD

That said, we are actually in desperate need of more cleaners! I seem to say this often, but it's very hard to find cleaners who aren't busy all the time! ^^;; Recently, due to several felicitous or untoward developments, I have been forced to pick up the slack in regards to cleaning duties, however it must be said that I cannot possibly translate, clean, typeset AND QC two series without one or both projects being severely neglected. :O As such, I think we would all be much better off with more help! So please, if you have any interest at all and would like to help out as a cleaner than please flick me a message to scanlators_7_seeds[at]live[dot]co[dot]uk ^_^

I would also like to thank Fatimah Zafira for her absolutely wonderful fanart gift to us! I am truly honoured to be presented with such a high-calibre gift, and well, who doesn't want to see more AramakixAyu fanart anyway??? So without further ado, time for another heart-wrenching tear-inducing 7 Seeds chapter!

Aramaki's loyal and precious companions have sacrificed themselves to save their world from impending doom by foreign mushrooms! Devastated, Aramaki falls to his knees, but Ayu, holding him close for support, prompts him to properly bid his dearest friends farewell...

Waaaah... this sure was a tear-jerking chapter once more... so sad yet so beautiful!! *cry buckets*

So many wonderful contents this chapter... I just can't decide what I loved most. The flashbacks with the young Aramaki (SO CUTEEE!!! XD) and his puppies growing up and the pack increasing its numbers protecting their friend, Ayu hugging Aramaki and helping him to snap out of his despair, both Fubuki's and Mitsuru's sad yet beautiful goodbye, Ayu's starting to accept her guilt and looking at the full moon with eyes unaverted again, and finally, finally - the soon-to-happen reunion with Koruri and the mixed community at Dry Season Holiday Villa! :-D Didn't think they were this close nearby... I SOSOSO look forward to their meeting and the tearful scenes of joy, to finish this heart-breaking yet heart-mending, wonderful arc!!!!!!! *sparkling eyes*

I wonder whether Kaname will have another appearance in this arc...? And when will Hana find Chimaki's carving telling her that Ango and Ryo joined her lover's team, making her all anxious for Arashi's life? :o Maybe the Dry Season Villa will be burned down due to the fire and thus the reunited group has to move closer to the shore to escape the fire, resulting in them finding the carvings? I hope this won't happen though, because moving Kurumi again at this critical time would certainly be no good... *worried* And what, OH MY GOD, WHAT happened after Ango's confession to Arashi??? How is the state of Team Summer B now?? I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE!!! I LOVE YOU, TAMURA-SAMAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-D :-D :o

Just one question: Did I get that right that Fubuki and Mitsuru didn't breed with each other, but with those other foreign dogs on the very right and left in this sweet panel below? (http://mangafox.me/manga/7_seeds/v23/c120/10.html) So it wasn't incest, after all... *heh* If that's the case indeed, I'd have to change that on the animals section of the 7 Seeds wiki... and include the news about their deaths as well... *crying again*

And which one is Fubuki, and which one Mitsuru-san? All that separates them optically are their black/light eyes... ???

Thank you so much for your hard work, scanlation team!!! I was really happy when I surprisingly found lightning-fast another update of 7 Seeds in the mailbox - and such a wonderful chapter again: this theme of wrapping things up and getting started anew SO totally fit New Year. I somewhat feel encouraged to take on 2013 with a bit more confidence that past mistakes can be overcome and with the necessary will for it, I can turn over a new leaf in my life with this new year and "learn" (taking this last year as a learning experience), going on towards the future "with eyes unaverted". :-D

I also loved the wonderful translating and cleaning work, especially that big double page (http://mangafox.me/manga/7_seeds/v23/c120/21.html) with all of them standing on the cliff looking at the darkness mixing with the blazing fire - SO AWESOME!!! You managed to bring out Tamura-sama's great art in optimal quality once more - I so look forward to reading your scanlations in the New Year as well; the 7 Seeds chapters always make my day. XD

By the way, how far ahead of us are they now with the Japanese chapters? Did we catch up already? I have the bad feeling that this present of yours was probably the last one-week gap between releases and that 7 Seeds might go to a monthly schedule from now on... *worried*

I don't think they're that close by, Koruri is flying after all, she did go further out than usual and she also only saw the fire from the horizon, which shouldn't be hard to do since she's up so high and the fire is so huge. :O But you shall see what happens! ^_^

Haha, you should get your answers to most of your questions in the next couple of chapters! Some of them I have no clue about though. :3

Yup, it looks like Fubuki and Mitsuru-san found different partners to procreate with. I think Mitsuru-san is the one with dark brown eyes (she looks more innocent and cute) and the one with sharp yellow eyes is Fubuki. I had an inkling but was never sure, until that page where Fubuki and Mitsuru are waving good bye and walking off in the distance, and the dogs with their respective names are following behind.

Um, I'm not 100% sure, but I think chapter 127 just came out in Japan about a week ago. :3 So we still have 7 chapters to go before we catch up. For now we'll probably flit between 2-3 weeks for release times, because I don't think our scanner can get the magazine fast enough for us to be on par with the Japanese releases (unless someone offers her money to get the magazine at express shipping rates, which I imagine is quite expensive :O). And well, we were never going to go back to one-week gap releases! We're too close to catching up for that. xD

It's okay if it goes to monthly. I hope 7seeds never ends. I look forward to big things happening!

I agree! :D Her words are harsh, but they're very much true. ^^;; One thing I love about Ayu is her brashness. :3

Ahhh, I feel that it's coming relatively close to its end, but maybe not for another year or so yet! I'm looking forward to seeing how she reaches a solid conclusion! :)

Really? I thought it was just getting going. They still need to explore, make relationships, repopulate the Earth, adventure & then it can end or be like the bible & chronicle mankind's new history (& hopefully do it right for once).

*sigh* I guess it could end right when everything is set on the right path tho.

Haha I don't think the Bible is that bad! ^^;; I also don't think it'll go THAT in depth. I think people might get a little bored if it keeps going on and on. I'm sure it'll end once all the character relationships (like Hana and Ango/Ryo, Arashi and Ango/Ryo, Summer A and Kaname etc.) have been settled and people are able to live as a big (or maybe a few) communities. :D

I prefer series that don't go beyond 30 volumes. I think between 20-30 volumes is a good length for a well thought out and planned series. :) Plus, we all know that even if 7 Seeds ends, Tamura-sensei will be able to come up with something equally good, if not better!

Yeah, I don't usually like diluted series either, yet 7Seeds has truly epic potential. Even if it's not used Tamura has already succeeded.

I don't believe any manga could resonate better with me than this one. Ecosystems, adventure, the emotional connections, I dunno what it is exactly. I'm also enjoying Vinland Saga, but that's because of all the farming!

I'm glad Ayu is there for him ;__; This chapter is so painful to read! Those flashbacks make me cry.

And then Ayu makes me laugh with her bold, blunt statements, lol XD And especially how startled others are at what she says.

Such an emotional chapter, I love it. Thanks for the release :D

Yeah, Ayu really is great!! Her frank, pragmatic view of things was a perfect counter to all the emotions and feels everyone else is experiencing. ^^;; And I knoooow!! Those flashbacks were heartbreaking! Coupled with volume 23's gorgeous cover, gosh, my feels just overflowing everywhere! D:

I really love what's going on here, Ayu really is impressive but I feel for Hana so much. It felt so sad to have her watch as Ayu comforted Aramaki. I can see Hana has strong feelings for him, and was bummeed when the reunion was cut short by the fire. I had become distraught from Aramaki's loss, so saaad. But I can't help but wonder if Ayu's interaction with Aramaki causes Hana to back off from him.
I'm really excited to see what happens, I appreciate the scans very much. To have the scans for Christmas and New Years was really neat.

I think it's a good thing for Hana to know that it's a good idea to back off. It is a little sad for Hana, but then I've always been a HanaxArashi shipper so I'm glad that AramakixHana won't become canon after this (probably). :3 I'm sure Hana will be able to pick herself up again, and her and Ayu will be able to do the same for Aramaki. ^^

I'm glad you enjoyed them! We worked really hard to ensure you guys got nice treats for the holiday. :D
